The strong green-yellow bias creates a  jaundice-like hue to skin.

Labs.

Subtle shading in lab specimens may wash out when examined under conventional lighting.
We examined a specimen of coagulated blood under both a "cool white" and "The Skylighter" lamp.
The subtle shading of reds was lost with "cool white" but quite observable under "The Skylighter".

Veterinary.**

Despite the hefty  investment made in expensive diagnostic and surgical equipment, the importance of lighting is often overlooked.  An exam room lit with bargain lamps can handicap an examiner from catching subtle anomalies in coat and skin coloring, eye clarity, lab specimens.

When lit with The Skylighter, visual inspections are more likely to catch problems.

Equally important, the animal will look much healthier to the pet owner during the time of the exam.

Animal Shelter/ Humane Society.**

Unfortunatly, animals showcased with standard cool white lamps look sickly, not a great way to encourage an adoption.  The Skylighter is the ONLY lamp to bring out all the colors, shades, and beauty of an animal's coat.  Animals which look healthy are more attractive for adoption.
