Why is BLUEWAVE so effective?
Since the discovery of light therapy 20 years ago, researchers have been trying to uncover why it works. Recently science has discovered that this reaction is through photoreceptors in our eyes called melanopsin, and melanopsin respond to a very specific band of 470 nm (light blue light). 2 X More than 10,000 lux or White LEDs
When this specific bandwidth of light is isolated, it produces 2 times the melatonin suppression and circadian shift of white full spectrum and white LED light. This is true despite the fact that the LED and fluorescent white light sources produce substantially higher amounts of blue light.
